Eazysoft, of Nairobi, Kenya, runs mizani.eazysoft.africa. This page explains what we collect when you buy or manage a Mizani licence, and what we do with it. We handle personal data in line with Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.
Mizani itself runs inside your application and sends us nothing: your payment records never reach us.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, your organisation's name and your email address.
- Payments: the amount, currency, method and status of each payment, its reference and receipt, and, for M-Pesa, the phone number you paid from. Card details go straight to Paystack; we never see them.
- Your licence: its number, plan and update window, and your repository credentials.
- When you browse: standard server logs (IP address, page, browser) for security, and the country your request comes from, used only to show you the right currency.
Cookies
The site sets a session cookie, which keeps you signed in and remembers a currency you chose, and a security token that protects forms. There are no analytics or advertising cookies.
Who else handles it
- Safaricom, for M-Pesa payments, and Paystack, for card payments.
- Private Packagist, which serves the Mizani packages to your repository token.
- Our email provider, which delivers sign-in links and licence emails, and our hosting provider.
Some of these providers store data outside Kenya. They act on our instructions and only to provide their service.
How long we keep it
Account, licence and payment records are kept while your licence exists and for seven years after your last payment, as tax and accounting records. Server logs are kept for 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted where we are not required to keep it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner of Kenya.
